Ramping up the healthiness – the winter months are always the time where I reach for all those yummy / dangerous comfort foods and end up adding on some lbs…. this year, however, I’m taking a different approach and am ramping up my health efforts. Tightening down on my diet and increasing my workouts – even if it’s just by a little.
I refuse to gain the extra winter weight this year!!
On day 6 of my November Fitness Challenge and I can’t believe how out of shape I am!! It makes me sad to think how quickly it happened and how hard I worked to get to where I WAS…
The good news is that in determined and back on track to be a better and healthier ME!
Day 6 is in the bag…ready for day 7!!
So… long story short = life happens… been off track for the last few months and am really feeling it lately.
November 1st marked the day that I took my life & body back over! I’ve been eating healthier and working out each day so far. They say starting over is hard so my best advice is NEVER QUIT!
The biggest challenge right now is that ever since I went back to the 9-5, meal planning hasn’t been happening as much as it was and should be. Going to fix that NEXT!
It’s been a loooooong time since I’ve blogged…..
This Challenge is exactly what I needed to get me back into the routine and help keep me accountable!
The Challenge technically started yesterday and while I did have my shake yesterday – I just wasn’t able to get a workout done.
Today was a different story though – kept my diet healthy at 90% of the day; kicked the day off with a Chocolate Vegan shake with banana and peanut butter; lunch was a ham & cheese wrap with mustard; dinner was pasta with fresh homemade tomato sauce – while not the healthiest meal it was pretty tasty 😊

Wow! Where does the time go???
Even though I haven’t been posting everyday I have been staying on an 80% healthy track with my food choices.
My workouts have been less than usual but I’ve been busy doing other things that have been completely wiping me out like scrubbing floors & carpet & painting….my arms hurt more now then on my hardest workout days.
Was hoping to get a run in this weekend but so far it isn’t looking too good but I’m sure I’ll be pushing myself in other ways again.
Hope everyone is staying on track this month & kicking butt!

This morning was a tough one for me to get moving…
Not much sleep last night, then my littles had me up at 5:00. She ended up falling back to sleep snuggled up with me and her blankie at about 7:00 and oh how cozy was I….
Climbing out from under the covers and away from her to get my workout done was definitely challenging but I did it and am now done and ready to get this day started!!

Time goes by just too quickly sometimes – I can’t believe it’s almost 3 weeks since I logged my last work out!!!
This morning I woke up and decided that I was going to start working out again (even through the headache that I had); eat better and drink more water.
Well….the workout was challenging and eye-opening but still a good one. It’s so much less than what I was doing three weeks ago and I’ll definitely be sure to not fall off track again for so long!
Breakfast was toast with PB; lunch was a shake and dinner is going to be kebabs on the grill with grilled asparagus.
This gal is digging in super deep and getting back on track real quick – NO MORE EXCUSES!!!
