I’ve had a few people ask me what my favorite Bullet recipes are so thought I would post a few of them here for everyone to use.
For starters I always use unsweetened vanilla almond milk in all my shakes along with some sort of a protein powder – Shakeology is always a good one to use 😊
Most mornings I’ll add in a tsp of homemade almond butter, a tsp of cacao powder, a very small handful of cacao nibs, some chia seeds, half a banana and a handful of whatever berries might be in the fridge.
For mid-day or late-night shakes I usually go light on the protein powder, still add in the tap of almond butter, handful of fresh spinach or kale and some berries.
I’ve had a really light, refreshing shake once but I actually prefer the top two recipes most times.

Ran 5k at lunch and just finished an hour of strength training – feeling #Awesome!!

Managed to run a quick 5k at lunch time and feeling #Awesome! Time to finish #Winning this day!
So…. I took a few days break to enjoy the weekend. Something I think we all need to do from time to time.
Friday night was spent making homemade pizza with the family and enjoying every bite of it with a glass of homemade wine, courtesy of a dear friend of mine 😊
Saturday was spent at the Beach — and in a lot of traffic but it was definitely worth it in my opinion. Read some pages from my Oola Life book to the family while we were in traffic and even listened to Randy Gage on periscope. Had a really awesome time at the beach though!
Today was spent with a few hours at church – followed by numerous trips to the supermarket, multiple loads of laundry, changing the bedding on ALL the beds, getting the sand out of my car and getting it washed. Had a yummy Sunday family dinner – courtesy of hubby, my own personal chef – of steaks on the BBQ, corn on the cob and sweet potatoes.
Just finished a much needed but challenging workout as my mid and lower back got a bit too much sun yesterday but I pushed through the pain and got it done!!! Stepped it back to day 12 on the challenge post so now I’m in synch with the calendar 😊

I’m currently reading Oola – Find Balance in an Unbalanced World and just finished a section that focuses on Fitness. It ended with a very plain and simple message: “Eat less than you burn and burn more than you eat!”
I have said this so many times to so many different people…. Fitness & Healthy don’t have to be complicated. It definitely won’t be easy at times but it can absolutely be simple if you follow these steps:
- Know what your BMR is – here’s a great site to help you with that if you don’t know what it is http://www.bmi-calculator.net/bmr-calculator/.
- Evaluate the food in your home and consider doing a good make-over if necessary. If you need help with this one feel free to shoot me a message and I’ll be happy to send you some guidelines.
- Last, write down your goals and become committed to your new lifestyle. Let’s face it, it really is about a healthier lifestyle and not just some quick fad diet.
