IF IT DOESN’T CHALLENGE YOU ~ IT WON’T CHANGE YOU!

If it Doesn't Challenge You It Won't Change You

I’ve been out of the office for the past few days tending to a sick 8 year old and in turn not taking care of me…  Well, back at it this morning and am challenging everyone to squeeze in 3 SET of 50 – yes FIFTY – tri-cep dips.  Even if you’re at your desk you can do these.

I just got my first 50 in so stand up and get to it!  =)

FIND TIME TO EXERCISE EVEN WHEN YOU’RE AT YOUR BUSIEST MOMENTS

Walking

I can’t say HOW important it is to get up and move around – even if it’s only for a quick 20 minute walk.

Today is proving to be a challenging day for me for various reasons but I MADE the time to get out and go for a quick walk and I WILL squeeze in a set of squats (yes, in my 3″ heels) before I leave the office.

So… be sure to carve out a few minutes for yourself ALWAYS.

YOU ARE WORTH IT!!!

Anyone for a Manic Monday??

That’s exactly how it is for me today — BUT I am DROPPING everything and getting out for a quick walk.

Did you know that walking can:

  • Reduce the risk of coronary heart disease
  • Improve blood pressure and blood sugar levels
  • Improve blood lipid profile
  • Maintain body weight and lower the risk of obesity
  • Enhance mental well being
  • Reduce the risk of osteoporosis
  • Reduce the risk of breast and colon cancer
  • Reduce the risk of non-insulin dependent (type 2) diabetes

What are you waiting for???  You ARE worth it!  Take 20 mins and get moving!

Challenged by my trainer via text!!

So, last night I was hanging out with my husband, sister and brother-in-law when I received a text from my trainer “Did you do anything active today?”   My response “Lol!  Yea, I typed my effen fingers off….”

Needless to say I was told that typing doesn’t count but I had such a crazy day yesterday that I just didn’t have the time to stop and get any type of a work out in.

Next message from my trainer was “You can get a workout done in 10-20 mins at home.  Do push-ups, planks, and squats all in a circuit.  See how many rounds you can do in a row”

So…. at about 9:30 last night I did just that.  I was so tired and worn out though that I only did 3 sets of 15 girly push ups; 30 second planks and 15 squat / calf raises.  I felt better afterwards just for getting something done – but this will now become my new “filler” workout with a goal to obviously do MORE!

MY CHALLENGE to you now is if you didn’t work out yesterday to Drop what you’re doing and do this same routine.  Would love to hear back from those of you that accept and complete the challenge.

HAVE FUN!  =)

3/31/14 DESKERCISE CHALLENGE – MORE SQUATS PLEASE

Ok, it’s now no secret to some of you just how much I hate squats….   SO….  going to make them part of today’s deskercise routine:

The challenge is:  50 squats, raise your arms above your head when coming to standing and incorporate a calf raise — lower arms and go back into a squat.   50 now and another 50 at 4:00.

GOOD LUCK & HAVE FUN!   =)
